Chelyabinsk CHP-1, CHP-2 technical upgrade

"Interpolis" wins the modernisation contracts for OAO "Fortum" power plants in Chelyabinsk

OAO "Fortum" as the Owner of the project put forward strict requirements for the level of competence of the Contractor and time of delivery. So "Interpolis" met the New Year 2013 in the midst of construction season – modernisation work is underway at Chelyabinsk CHP-1 and CHP-2.

It is a part of the large-scale work on modernisation and upgrade existing capacities of OAO "Fortum" in Chelyabinsk. The project is considered as challenging – "Interpolis" experts need to take into account a lot of factors because they have to design and build in the existing infrastructure.

In 2013 due to cost-efficiency reasons heat load will be shifted from CHP-1 to CHP-2. It is a complex of interconnected projects: reconstruction of steam pipelines and heat pipelines at power plants; modernisation of boilers and collectors including equipment upgrade; design and construction of new trunk pipeline between CHP-1 and CHP-2. The trunk pipeline will be a part of the Ring scheme of Chelyabinsk heat supply system.

All of this will increase energy efficiency of power plants and reliability of heat supply system.
